Help & how it works
Daily Flow turns the way you pay — monthly bills, weekly paychecks — into a single number you can spend today. Here's a quick tour:
- Balance — your running balance and what you can spend per day. Unspent allowance rolls forward; over-spending pulls from tomorrow.
- Recurring — your recurring income and expenses. Each one is converted to a daily value (a $1,200/mo rent becomes ~$39.45/day), then everything is summed into your daily allowance.
- Variable recurring items (groceries, gas) — set an average; enter the actual amount when the bill hits and the balance trues up.
- Entries — one-time income or expenses. Income adds to your balance now; expenses subtract now.
- Analysis — monthly income vs spending, category breakdown, six-month trend, and an optional AI insight.
- AI assistant — bring your own free API key (Gemini, Cerebras, Groq) to unlock chat and insights. Keys stay on this device.
- Siri voice updates — generate a device token so you can dictate entries to your iPhone Shortcut hands-free.
- Live access for Claude / ChatGPT — generate an access token, then add the Connector URL in Claude for hands-free always-live access with read and write (or paste the plain link into a chat), instead of exporting a file.
- Backup — export everything to JSON or restore from a file. Cloud save also syncs across your signed-in devices.
- Reset — Clear entries wipes one-time transactions but keeps your recurring setup. Reset all wipes everything.

Buddy grocery run
When you log a "Buddy grocery run," this fixed amount is split off as a Pet expense (Buddy batch) and the rest becomes Grocery (HEB). Update it when meat prices change.

AI assistant
Bring your own free API key to unlock AI insights and chat. Keys are stored only on this device.
Whatever you write here is read first and woven into your AI insight every time you tap Generate — it adds a personal “Why it matters” note. Leave blank for a general insight.
Import transactions
Bring in a bank or card statement and let AI sort each item by name, date, and category. Upload a CSV or PDF, snap a photo, or paste the rows — you review and edit everything before anything is saved. Nothing is added until you tap Add.

Live access for Claude / ChatGPT
Give Claude full access to your live budget — no more exporting and pasting a file. Generate a token below, then use the Connector URL for hands-free always-live access (recommended), or the plain link to paste into a single chat. Revocable anytime. Shown once — copy now. Anyone with these can read and edit your budget, so keep them private and revoke if leaked.

Shared household account
Create a separate shared sign-in for the two of you. The shared account combines your Balance, Recurring, Analysis, Settings, and shared goals while leaving Entries unavailable. Individual entry and goal names stay private.
